September 10, 2019Welcome!
The team at Brightshire would like to introduce you to William O’Connor, who joined us recently as our new trainee accountant.
We’re sure you’ll extend an extremely warm welcome to William, as he begins his accountancy training and supports all of us and our diverse range of clients.
Meet William
William has always had a passion for numbers and a mathematical mind, for as long as he can remember. As he was nearing the end of his college studies, his thoughts naturally turned to what next. And numbers were at the front of his mind.
He spoke with his dad – who works in financial services – and talked about the various roles open to him. He then had a chat with his great aunt – who just happens to be an accountant.
Soon his mind was set – a role where he could work with numbers every day, something he’d always been interested in.
Why Brightshire?
After looking around for possible job opportunities, William saw the advert for a trainee accountant on the total.jobs website. Better still, it was with a firm that was local to him.
He came in for an interview, and we all liked William immediately. An accomplished young man with a love for numbers, and someone who was eager to learn.
William fitted in right away, and said it was great to be working for a small, local business – rather than a large, faceless corporation.
As soon as he was able, he started work with us full time in the trainee accountant role.
What next for William?
William has gotten stuck into his daily duties right away, and he’s already producing accounts online to support our clients.
He’s also hard at work studying for his Level 3 AAT – and we’re doing our bit to support him there.
We’re slowly introducing him to the rural way of life in the Cheshire countryside, and he’s getting to know each of our clients, the challenges they face, and why they value the help of a dedicated rural accountancy practice like Brightshire.
Come and say hello to William, he will be joining us at the ploughing match on 25th September. We are on stand B1.
